Finding Feliz Canyon del Sol

Delicious and magical, seductively nestled in a pristine, precious,
and mostly secret sanctuary. Feliz Canyon del Sol is hidden
deep in the Santa Monica mountains,
though it does appear in Santa Barbara and assorted sacred and sublime spots,
it is the most blissful of time thieves
......only a few ever find this happy place.

Magical, mystical, transcendent and far removed from the everyday....
.....or is it?
Is this a mindset,
not a place.?..
....................like everything else?

Can we move the mystical to the everyday?
Are the transcendent, clear light moments, here and now?
....yes...
with a little practice,
Feliz Canyon del Sol* is here, and now............
......and it is the backdrop of everything else,.......if we want it to be.

The most valuable of all education is the ability to make yourself do,
the thing that has to be done, when it has to be done, whether you like it or not.
Aldous Huxley

*happy canyon of the sun, or something like that lol!

Nice artwork.

And wonderful blog entry.

I agree with what you say. It all depends on the point of view.

You ask a question -- 'Can we move the mystical to the everyday?

My latest blog entry, an old poem of mine - "synchronicity" tries to do this.

Link: Synchronicity

Its a 10 year old poem of mine.

It is a merger of the mystical and the ordinary.

Which cannot be separated of course -- because reality is smooth and seamless. The jump from the ordinary to the mystical cannot be some kind of a quantum leap.

To me everything is a beautiful mystery.

Its all mystical --- be it the engineering systems I design, or people. Or any other aspect of life.

My point of view does depend on my mood, though.

The practical, day to day, get-the-job-done point of view...

And the larger picture. The mysterious, the unknown...the magic.
