Kundalini Awakening With Artist, Alex Grey

Alex Grey
Visionary/Sacred, Transpersonal Artist.

Grey has also made his own contribution to the philosophy of art in his book The Mission of Art (1998). Therein, he promotes the possibility of the mystical potential of art: he argues that the process of artistic creation can (and should) play a role in the enlightenment of the artist. For him, the process of artistic creation holds the potential of transcending the limitations of the mind and more fully expressing the divine spirit. He also believes that art can induce within the viewer an elevated state wherein spiritual states of being are attained.

Sound: Hindu Gayatri Mantra. The Gayatri Devi Mantra is the vibration of and consort or feminine manifestation, of god Brahma. Second only to the Om Mantra in power and popularity. Gayatri is said to be the blend of Lakshmi, Parvati and Sarasvati. Reciting the Gayatri mantra is enough, according to some teachers, to bring enlightenment. Listening to Gayatri and even the thought of Gayatri Mantra is said to grant grace and calm

Kundalini/ Sex Yoga With Alan Watts

Alan Watts, bad boy philosopher from the 1960's, gives a brief but beautiful description of Red Tantra*/ kundalini yoga

"...at the base of the spine is the sleeping serpent kundalini coiled around a phallus, this represents 'involution' to be absolutely involved. The sex symbol is used because sex stands for, symbolically, complete involvement. When you have gotten in, the trick is to get out.
The process of yoga is represented by waking up the serpent, who is under the sleep of maya, captivated by illusion, thinking the world really exists, you have lost sight of the eternal now........"

Orgasm: Screaming and Full Body Orgasm

Full Body Orgasm
Taoist and some tantric systems teach the full body orgasm,
an electrifying sensation that permeates the whole body.
This is achieved through breath, inner locks, attention, mantra, and touch.
These techniques engage the sexual/kundalini energy and teach you how to direct
and circulate this energy throughout your body. Avoiding ejaculation and even for women to avoid orgasm, allows kundalini to expand. As the energy expands and is directed up through the body it has the potential to heal, energize and illuminate.
The energy need not to be released, if/when released it is starry and explosive and when combined with g-spot
stimulation creates a transcendent space of physical bliss and emotional rapture.
With practice, men can begin to separate ejaculation from orgasm*,
the first step towards multiple orgasms.

This practice can be done solo or with your partner.

*ejaculation and orgasm are separate events that happen to occur simultaneously.

Orgasm: Expanded

Wikipedia:
Expanded orgasm is any sexual experience more intense and extensive than what can be described as, or included in the definition of, a regular orgasm.[1] It includes a range of sensations that include orgasms that are full-bodied, and orgasms that last from a few minutes to many hours.[2] The term was coined in 1995 by Dr. Patricia Taylor. It was used in her Ph.D. research of intense sensual experiences of 44 couples from various backgrounds and referenced in a video she produced in 1998.
Distinguishing features of expanded orgasm are energetic sensations and contractions all over the body, especially in the abdomen, inner thighs, hands and feet, and of course the genitals. Dr. Taylor describes reports of practitioners going into various altered states of consciousness, bringing about deep emotional release and rejuvenation, profound spiritual experiences, having awarenesses not normally perceived in regular orgasm, and perceiving energy expanding beyond the limits of their bodies.[3] Similar experiences were reported in studies by Dr. Jenny Wade,[4] and by David Deida.[5]
Dr. Taylor reports that men are as likely as women to go into these states and have all the experiences enumerated above.[3] In addition, both Brauer[10] and Bodansky[11] discuss male extended orgasm.
Theories for the biological processes required for achieving these states include the progressive and balanced stimulation and elevation of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system; this is evidenced by the tantric practice of using breathing techniques[12] (to engage the parasympathetic nervous system) during sexual activities.

Orgasmic Fake Outs, Men?

As part of 'orgasm' week, we have two faked orgasms....one from each gender....and both moderately funny

the classic 'when harry met sally'
Faking is not necessary*. Taoist and some tantric paths can teach us to awaken the sexual energy and just 'be' with it, calmly and creatively....without the goal of orgasm.
As the partner of a pretender, allow your partner to take responsibility for his/her, own orgasm/or non-orgasm...and you for yours.
Our sexual health, like our physical or spiritual health is our own gift and responsibility.

As a couple with a faker, drop expectations of orgasm, eliminate distractions, clear your mind and eyes wide open, focus on connection. allow the unthought experience of erotic spontaneous bliss to naturally arise. This erotic energy is more powerful than anything in your mind or a mail order catalog, and is the gateway to full body, heart and expanded orgasms
Real orgasmic ecstasy is seldom planned, rarely filmed, and even more rarely is it captured...it can only be experienced

Measurement of the Thickness of the Urethrovaginal Space in Women with or without Vaginal Orgasm
doi:10.1111/j.1743-6109.2007.00739.x

Introduction. The physiology and anatomy of female sexual function are poorly understood. The differences in sexual function among women may be partly attributed to anatomical factors.
Results. The urethrovaginal space and distal, middle, and proximal urethrovaginal segments were thinner in women without vaginal orgasm. A direct correlation between the presence of vaginal orgasm and the thickness of urethrovaginal space was found. Women with a thicker urethrovaginal space were more likely to experience vaginal orgasm

Many speculations have been made on the possible existence of a "female prostate gland" and "female ejaculation." Despite several reports on the subject, controversy still exists around the "female prostate" and whether such a gland might be the source of fluid emitted during orgasm (ejaculation).
Aim. To investigate the ultrasonographic, biochemical, and endoscopic features in two women who reported actual ejaculations during orgasm.
Main Outcome Measures. Perineal ultrasound studies, as well as biochemical characteristics of ejaculate and urethroscopy, have been performed in two women.
Methods. Two premenopausal women—44 and 45 years of age—who actually reported fluid expulsion (ejaculation) during orgasm have been investigated. Ultrasound imaging, biochemical studies of the ejaculated fluid, and endoscopy of the urethra have been used to identify a prostate in the female. Ejaculated fluid parameters have been compared to voided urine samples.
Results. On high-definition perineal ultrasound images, a structure was identified consistent with the gland tissue surrounding the entire length of the female urethra. On urethroscopy, one midline opening (duct) was seen just inside the external meatus in the six-o’clock position. Biochemically, the fluid emitted during orgasm showed all the parameters found in prostate plasma in contrast to the values measured in voided urine.

Conclusions. Data of the two women presented further underline the concept of the female prostate both as an organ itself and as the source of female ejaculation. Goddess Worship, From Sex, Death and Desire

The christian conception of feminine sexuality turns on the opposition between virgin (good) and whore (bad).
This is very different from pre-Christian goddess worship.
The Goddess, in her many guises and manifestations, was the most holy figure on earth for thousands of years and yet she has been so successfully eradicated that the majority of western women have simply no idea that she even existed, let alone had the religous awe and captivating power that she emanated.
The return to goddess worship could be a reaction to the objectification of women on the internet and pornography in general.

Sting on Tantra

Sting is a famous proponent of tantric sex. I ask him to give the frustrated Guardian readers a few tips. He looks indignant and says it's about "a journey", not "fucking for eight hours". OK, I say. "I try to be lighthearted about it," he says, "but at the same time, there is some serious information about couples and how they can relate and sex is only a tiny proportion of it. It's about ritualising a period of the day with your partner; it can be looking at each other, touching each other, running a bath, a massage, deeper levels of connection. Sex is only the surface. Once you really connect, telling the truth, talking, all of that. Tantra is much too complex for me to discuss. But it's about reconnecting with the world of the spirit through everyday things. My church happens to be the person I live with. She is my connection to the sacred. I don't know how that's going to look in print."

What exactly is the spirit?

"I don't know what it is. But it's something I need to connect with on a regular basis and the roots for me are music and my relationships. I don't know what it is. I only have a limited brain. I'm just a human being."

Tantra and Desire

It is precisely because our present life is so inseparably linked with desire
that we must make use of desire’s tremendous energy if we wish to transform our life into something transcendental.

Before we can board the lightning vehicle of tantra, we have to understand why it is both necessary and possible to abandon our ordinary, limited view of ourselves and generate in its place the enlightened self- identity of a fully evolved being. We have to realise that our low opinion of ourselves, which keeps us trapped in the cycle of perpetual dissatisfaction, only arises because we are ignorant of our basic, essentially pure nature.

While the great explosion of desirous energy in this century is considered to be a serious obstacle to most spiritual paths, it is actually helpful for the practice of tantra where desire is the fuel propelling us to our highest destination. Perhaps only a path like tantra, with its emphasis on direct experience rather than blind acceptance, can rouse us out of our self-destructive patterns and give us the opportunity to fulfil ourselves completely.

Tantra, Secrets and Psychedelics

...Although the ritualistic mixing of sex and psychedelics is ancient--and openly discussed in the writings of iconoclastic philosophers like Aleister Crowley and Robert Anton Wilson--the psychopharmacological techniques for activating higher states of sexual consciousness remain unknown by most people, and they are often kept secret from early initiates of Tantra. Techniques for enhancing sexual rituals with sacred plants are rarely mentioned in popular books on Tantra or in Tantra workshops.

This important omission is deliberate. It's due to the fact that it requires a good bit of training to handle the enormous amount of energy that a Tantric-psychedelic session can generate. Tantric sex can be quite intense on its own, and that may be more than enough for most people who are interested in exploring Tantra. Not everyone can handle shivering in ecstasy for hours while their partner's face is melting. The omission of psychedelics is also largely due to the fact that most people in the Tantric community are aware that the idea of a sexually-based spirituality is controversial enough for most people. Mixing sex and religion elicits strong taboos in many people. Making it widely known that some of those same people who are mixing sex and religion are also using "Schedule I drugs" may not be the wisest way to gain societal acceptance during a time in history when sacred plants are regarded as forbidden fruit by the Puritanical overlords of society. So their secrecy is understandable...

More Anal Answers with GQ

"Anal is the new oral," says syndicated sex columnist Dan Savage. "I used to get letters from women about giving head. Those letters are now dwarfed by letters from women asking how to take it up the butt." Okay. But pronouncements and statistics that indicate the rising popularity of rearguard action don't address some nagging questions—the biggest one being how, presuming they haven't had their own rectums messed with, can so many guys justify asking women to let them take the service elevator?

Phillip, an engineer in Chicago, says he and his friends request a ride in the back seat because it's a harder-to-reach goal than old-fashioned intercourse. "Once a guy has anal sex, he's put on a pedestal by his peers," he says. He claims he hasn't had much trouble getting women to agree to it. "I only had to persuade two girls. [I asked] 'Can I put it in your butt?' At first they were like, 'No, it will hurt.' Then time after time of having sex with them they finally said okay. It hurt them the first time, but after that they always said they enjoyed it—if not a little, then a lot."

For other men, the appeal of anal penetration is less the novelty—and the fact that it gives them a good story to tell over beers—and more the psychology. "For most of my friends, it's sort of a domination thing," says John (not his real name), 30, a writer in New York. "[It's] basically getting someone in a position where they're most vulnerable. My friends enjoy that and they tell their friends they did it. But it's not like girls are ready for it—it's something they do when they're really drunk."

"There's an erotic undercurrent about being in control of a situation," says Edward Ratush, a psychiatrist and sex therapist in New York. "It's a very ego-focused thing for the guy."....

msnbc, More Straight Couples Experimenting with Anal sex/play

According to results of a federal study released two years ago, 40 percent of men and 35 percent of women surveyed in 2002 said they have had anal sex with an opposite-sex partner. An earlier study published in 1994 showed that among heterosexuals, 26 percent of men and 20 percent of women had ever engaged in anal sex. And if anecdotes by experts are to be believed, the numbers have boomed in the last few years.

Why now?
The first and most obvious reason is the influence of porn, which is always trying to come up with new ways to titillate and to be naughtier. “Anal sex did not used to be de rigeur in porn and now it pretty much is even for mainstream porn,” explains Constance Penley, a film studies professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Since mainstream porn is so widely viewed, many more people have become exposed to the practice in a heterosexual, not just homosexual, context.
“There was time when [porn producers] were first going after the couples market in the late 1980s that nobody would think to have an anal sex scene in a movie labeled for couples,” Taormino says. “Now it is quite the opposite.”.......
