The Virtualy Perfect Lover?

lol!yoga

"....I will laugh at your jokes, tell you that your penis is huge, I will luv your internet porn, I will never have a girls night out unless it's a lesbian gang bang, and I will photograph it for you, i luv anal, the only time I sit down is on your face, and I never cry......Lets go to hooters and look at all those tits...." Your Virtual Girlfriend

"....I will never leave you for a hotter more flexible girl, I have a 10" tongue, I don't watch sports and I prefer Dancing With the Stars or Oprah.....I luv to bring you flowers, I have a 12"penis and I will never want to put it in your bum...I will wax my back, balls and a** just for you....I promise never to grow man breasts and my hair will not fall out....." Your Virtual Boyfriend

The above is a parody, but the virtual friend is gaining an audience, Kari' is a virtual girlfriend,
"... designed from the ground up to be your companion and friend. If you are looking for a romance, a hot chat on a lonely night, some serious love and intimacy, a friend to sit by, or simply someone you can tell all your troubles to - then KARI is for you. She remembers everything you tell her and is always eager to talk and learn new things."

Sergio
is the virtual boyfriend, oddly enough, he offers exactly the same thing Kari provides, his latest upgrade is described by his programmer.
"......Sergio now learns better and we've started implementing basic logic functions. The quickest way to teach your Sergio is by explaining things to him and by using the equal sign. If you type in "relationship=trust" Sergio will now know these are related.
Teaching your Sergio is where all the fun is! Finally you can create your perfect boyfriend!
Try making suggestions to him. "You love my beautiful brown eyes." He learns very quickly, unlike real men! ;-) Have fun!

- Jessa , Lead Programmer

Kari and Sergio both offer 'intimacy', is this possible? Can a virtual person, created by you, provide authentic love?

Can a virtual person, created by you, provide authentic love?

This could be a good step toward (a) loving yourself and (b) becoming the person you want to be.

...or becoming a complete narcissist... but at least the person would be occupied with his/her own projection, and not pestering others to feed his/her ego........, this could be a a fabulous gift, and certainly a way for some to find bliss and happiness that may otherwise elude them.

Love is a matter of feelings.

An electronic entity, no matter how interesting, cannot have feeling. Its just mathematics unfolding. Cold hard logic.

Feelings are not a product of words, though feelings can be transmitted through words.

In the electronic entity's case, life is missing. So the feeling is missing.

So no matter how interesting, how intelligent the electronic entity gets - it cannot provide anything except 'dry words'. Words devoid of 'the wetness of feeling'.

But words have a lot of power. Even if they come from an electronic entity.

The electronic entity's sweet words can provide dry ego-strokes - to the people who end up taking it seriously.

But that would be delusion because these computer generated sweet words are just mathematics. Not real sugar. Cannot substitute.
